How the score is worked out
Punjabi families have always looked at two things together: what the stars suggest, and what daily life will look like. This calculator does the same. Rashi harmony carries 20 points and follows the classic element pairings — fire with air, earth with water. The age gap carries 15 points, because a very wide gap usually means different life stages. The remaining 65 points come from six questions families ask anyway: joint or nuclear home, how much religion matters, food habits, careers after marriage, where you will settle, and children.
If one side answers "flexible" or "open to both", that counts as a partial match rather than a clash — in real rishtas, willingness to adjust matters as much as agreeing outright. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
